|What a find! This census has unravelled for me 15 years of mystery. Since I am one of the few family members left who have any interestin our family tree, I have inherited a trunk full of literally hundreds of old photos, many of which I recognized, but there were also many withnames written on the back of them, that just didn't fit any family name in my tree. I was certain there must be some connection, for why else wouldthey be in the family photos? So I double-checked maiden names, distant cousins, everything I could think of, but no luck. Then, one afternoon, just out of curiousity, and with no thought of photos, I decided to try a free trial on the census even though I was sure I already knew where my ancestors lived.The first surprise was to discover that their addresses, and even the towns and counties, changed from one census to the next although they still lived in the same house.Further investigation would show that this was a frequent happening as the post office system grew. I decided to have one more look before I printed outmy discoveries, and I came across an "unknown", a name on one of my mystery photos. And right below it was one of my ancestors, listed as a boarder. Well, since thenI've checked ages, occupations, boarders, servants, yes, they are all listed, and found that one of myancestors, who was supposed to be childless, actually had a daughter named Rose. I may never be finished searching this gold mine ofinformation. Search the 1930 Census!
